About our hunts

The Bob Marshall Wilderness, situated in the very heart of Montana’s Rocky Mountain Range, boasts well over a million acres of prime habitat for elk, mule deer, whitetail deer, mountain lions, bears and wolves. It is home to one of the largest herds of elk in Montana. The Cheff family is one of the oldest outfitting families in Montana, going on its 86th year as a family business, and we are now the fourth generation.

Base Camp Location – South Fork of the Flathead River at the mouth of Bartlett Creek. (Approx. 28 miles from trail head to camp.)
Hunting Terrain – River bottom and high elevation
Game to Hunt – Elk, Mule Deer, Whitetail Deer, Mountain Lions, Bears, Wolves

Our stock consists of Tennessee Walkers for a smooth 28 mile ride into the heart of the Bob to our camp. During the hunting trip you will ride and hike everyday.

Our licensed guides will help you get to the greatest locations to harvest an animal, they are knowledgeable of the area and stock. There will be one guide for every two hunters.
